I can recall having this idea as a kid - to sneak into and spend the night in a funhouse. Of course this movie showed the error of my ways.
The build up is a lot of fun and the carny atmosphere realistic and convincing. Then we have a wonderfully claustrophobic funhouse to paw around in for the lions share of the movie.
I preferred the killer wearing the Frankenstein mask honestly, and thought that was creepy as hell. I would have preferred the mask stay on a bit longer, then come off near the end for a better climax. Still there is not much to complain about here. This is a solid, meat-and-pototoes slasher with a nice opening homage to 2 classics. Tobe Hooper's best effort post Chainsaw in my opinion.

You liked this one? There's no blood in it. I remember that old woman giving frankenstein a hand job. I sold my copy on ebay.
