Fairy tales are scary -- they're populated with heart-coveting stepmothers, child-eating witches, big bad wolves, trolls and myriads of murderous and otherwise creepy critters. So when acclaimed writer-director M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) announced that he would be making a fairy tale film, speculations ran rampant. Would he be returning to the horror genre?
Yes, and no. The movie could have gone scarier, Shyamalan reveals, "When I was shooting the movie, I was going, 'I’m starting to lose some kids…' It was getting scarier and scarier and scarier… stop. So for me it stops at around 8 years old. For 7 year olds, it probably will be too much."

It looks ok, I probaly wouldn't go and see it, the plot sounds kind of cool though.

I seen some of the previews but it is a hollywood made thing again . So i dont think i will go see this one at all .

a coworker saw this and said she didn't like it....said it was boring...lol it isn't like a lot of M. Night Shyamalan's other stuff really.... i will probably wait until it is on cable....lol

I think most of the new horror is going to be crappy , Well at least for me . Whatever happened to the 80's slashers and horror . They are great !
