Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but "occult" actually means "hidden".
So in a sense, one could describe the Roman Catholic religion in the medieval period as occult - the scriptures were only actually "known" to the ruling elite and priestly classes, and were effectively hidden from the masses, who relied upon priestly intermediaries to tell them what they were suposed to do.
Occult is indeed, as has been said earlier, a generic term - most often applied to what the mainstream describe as "New Age" or "alternative" religions.

I only agree with the part about King. He just happened to be around at a time when the country was ripe for change; if he had been born thirty years earlier, no one would of even heard of him. It's also bullshit that someone like that could have his own little holiday but the father of the country doesn't. It's all politics of course.

Doesn't really matter because blacks still go on and on that they don't enough rights.
