Jennifer Baines (Eggar) travels down to Mexico to visit her husband Mark (Jenson), who is working on a mining project which has run into trouble. It seems the local workers will not enter the mine, for fear of an ancient curse called "the devil's hand," which they believe hangs over the project area. Mark and Jennifer set out to prove to the workers that there is nothing to fear - and unwittingly bring the curse down upon themselves! Soon Jennifer is locked in a desperate struggle against the forces of evil, and must convince a skeptical priest (Whitman) that a demonic force killed her husband in a bloody rampage... and it is after her! Will she be able to escape a grisly fate, dealt by "the devil's hand?"
